Positive Energy Places was recognised by the United Nations Association of Australia at the annual Awards Ceremony at the Park Hyatt Melbourne last Friday, 7 June 2013.
They have transformed their building into a new benchmark for environmental sustainable office buildings in Australia. Two years of validated energy consumption data has been assessed by Monash University and it was determined that Positive Energy Places generates between 9 to 21% more renewable energy than it consumes, providing sufficient excess renewable energy to power an electric car and offset business travel. Importantly, the building also provides a 50% return on investment! The building is also a founding member of the City of Melbourne’s 1200 Building Initiative.
Building owners, investors and media interested in learning more about this unique achievement are invited to email Dr Dave Collins email@example.com.
These preeminent United Nations awards play an important role in raising awareness about key environmental issues and challenges, and inspiring and motivating individuals, organizations and businesses to take positive steps towards sustainability and environmental excellence in their homes, schools, communities and workplaces.
